Login not in credential manager

So I added my Github account by just doing a push to a repo, and entering my credentials when asked. It all works fine. The second time around it doesn't ask for credentials and the push executes fine. But when I go into the credential manager in my Windows, I don't see the credentials anywhere? There are no entries that start with "git:" to be found anywhere. In fact there arent any passwords (yet) stored in the cred manager...

So what now? I changed my password at github, but now git refuses to do anything remote, because it tries to login with a password that is no longer valid, without git-credential-winstore providing any means to remove or edit the stored credentials!

What do I do now?

Some specs:
Windows 7 x64 (logged in as non-administrator)
Git (running git in regular command prompt - no admin one)
git-credential-winstore version whatever is today's ;)

Hmm, that's weird. I just closed the command prompt window in an attempt to put this problem off of my mind. But I couldn't resist. Reopened the command prompt, did a git push again, and it asked for my password once again. So I entered it, and immediately went to the cred manager. The credentials are there now.

So it works. But why did it not work at first?...
